C.D. is a Waco native who grew up in the China Spring area and graduated from China Spring High School.
After graduating high school, he went to college at the University of Oklahoma to earn his Bachelor of Science in Meteorology.
While at OU, he participated in the university's student run newscast OU Nightly, which is where he first gained experience as an on-air meteorologist and grew his love for the broadcast industry.
During the Summer of 2023, C.D. came back home to intern for KWTX. After graduating from OU with his degree in Meteorology as well as minors in Mathematics and Broadcast Journalism in May 2024, he officially joined the KWTX First Alert Weather Team as the Weekend Meteorologist.
In his free time, C.D. enjoys hanging out with his family, friends, and his pets. He also loves the game of baseball, is a huge fan of the Texas Rangers, and enjoys playing video games.
