Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash in Harker Heights
HARKER HEIGHTS (KWTX) — A 58-year-old man died Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle that left the scene without stopping to help.
James Albert Abrams of Harker Heights was hit by a vehicle around 6:30 a.m. in the 800 block of South Amy Lane, according to Harker Heights Emergency Services.
Emergency crews performed life-saving measures when they arrived and took Abrams to Darnell Hospital. He died from his injuries at 7:19 a.m.
The Harker Heights Police Department Traffic Management Unit is investigating the crash. Police are looking for a green Ford pickup with damage to the front left headlight and turn signal area.
