Tell The Guy From Green Day To Wake Up!
The Start Of October Looks Warm And Dry
Has anyone told the lead singer for Green Day to wake up yet? It is the last day of September - and a warm one at that! The month of September in 2025 wasn’t too far off from the averages in terms of temperatures and rainfall, but Central Texas is about to enter what will likely be a warm and dry October. That is how its going to start anyway! The forecast for tomorrow (October 1st) calls for lows in the mid 60’s, highs in the 90’s, and sunny skies. You can hit copy and paste on that for the next 7 to 10 days...and there are no rain chances in that timeframe either.

As mentioned previously, Wednesday’s forecast is calling for more of the same - lows in the 60’s, highs in the 90’s, and sunny skies!

As we head into the month of October, the average highs and lows will continue to decrease. Starting on October 1st, Central Texas averages a morning low of 62° and an afternoon high of 86°. By the end of the 10 day forecast (October 10th) those averages drop to a 58° low and a 83° high. Even so, the forecasted temperatures are expected to remain a good 5 to 10 degrees ABOVE these averages, so expect a warm start to the month of October!

While the morning conditions will be quite comfortable for the next several days, the temperatures will still be above average. If you want the fall feel, you will have to wake up bright and early!

While not quite as hot as the summer season usually is, the afternoon highs will certainly be summerlike for the next week and a half, being in the upper 80’s and lower 90’s. Not to mention, there are NO rain chances for the next week and a half, so not only will it be warm, it will also be a quiet start to October!
