A few showers and thunderstorms hit parts of central Texas earlier today but chances to see more diminish moving later into the evening. The chance for more pop-up storms returns again tomorrow with the best chances being later in the afternoon and into early Monday morning. These rain chances will still be isolated so much of central Texas will likely stay dry but a few areas will see some potentially heavy rainfall and stronger winds.

After the rain chances on Monday the skies will begin clearing up moving ahead with no real threat of rain expected through the rest of the work week. Temperatures will slowly start to heat up into the mid-upper 90s with weak winds coming out of the south and southeast throughout the week. Feels-like temperatures will stay high, however, with values at or above the 100 degree mark for at least the next 7 days as humid air stays in place across the region. Rain chances may return next weekend.
