Danika Young
Digital Reporter/Producer
Waco, Texas

Danika is a Baylor Alum from Orange County, California who decided to stay in Waco and join KWTX as a Digital Content Producer!
While at Baylor, Danika studied Journalism, graduated in three years, and spent her time working for Baylor’s student news station, The Baylor Lariat. At the Lariat, she spent her first two years as an award winning reporter/anchor covering breaking news and crime and for her final year she held a leadership role as LTVN’s social media editor and loved it!
Danika has won numerous awards for her reporting from College Media Association and was grateful to be named Baylor’s Broadcast Journalism Honoree for 2024 during her senior year.
While she spent most of her time focusing on reporting, Danika discovered her passion for social media and creating digital content during her final year at Baylor—a passion she hopes to develop during her time at KWTX.
Danika has been working part-time as a Digital Producer for KWTX since January 2024 while finishing up her degree at Baylor and she is excited to continue and develop this role.
When not working, Danika loves to cook, travel, hike, dance and spend time with her family and friends. She also can be found scrolling on TikTok often—she hopes to develop KWTX’s TikTok for those who love to get her news from social media like she does!
