‘I am going to cut you up’: Man arrested after threatening 10-year-old with butcher knife, affidavit states

BELLMEAD, Texas (KWTX) - A Bellmead man was arrested after threatening a 10-year-old with a butcher knife, according to an arrest affidavit.
60-year-old Gerry Dean Williams was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony, according to the affidavit.
On October 29, 2025, officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 1400 block of Woodbine St., according to an arrest affidavit.
Reports said the father, identified as Gerry Dean Williams, “became upset, verbally abusive and grabbed a butcher’s knife during an argument,” the document states.
A witness said Williams held a knife up to the victim’s chest and made threats, including, “I’m going to cut you up,” the affidavit states.
“The victim reported feeling the knife tip on his chest and feared for his life,” according to the document.
The affidavit states that a forensic interview corroborated the victim’s account and the threats made by Williams.
Williams was arrested and booked into McLennan County Jail.
