KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) — A 41-year-old male motorcyclist is in critical but stable condition after a crash involving a car on Interstate 14, Killeen Police say.

On December 9, 2025, around 2:01 p.m., officers were sent to Interstate 14 regarding a crash involving a motorcycle.

Upon arrival, officers found the motorcyclist lying in the roadway.

Police say he was immediately airlifted to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in critical but stable condition.

The preliminary investigation found that a Suzuki motorcycle and a Ford Mustang were both traveling eastbound on I-14 at high rates of speed.

Witnesses say the motorcycle was weaving in and out of traffic and passing vehicles between lanes.

At the time of the crash, the Mustang was moving into the inside lane from the center lane after passing another car.

Police say the motorcycle was reportedly passing the same uninvolved car between the lanes when the two involved vehicles sideswiped one another, causing the motorcycle to lose control and crash.

Killeen PD says no injuries were reported from the Mustang.

All eastbound lanes on I-14 were closed for around two hours on Wednesday.
