KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) - The Killeen Police Department arrested a wanted suspect out of Bell County, along with two other individuals, during a traffic stop on Monday afternoon.

On November 3, 2025, around 2:00 p.m., the Violent Crimes Action Team (VCAT) set up surveillance in the 1700 block of Shoemaker Dr., looking for a wanted subject out of Bell County.

Authorities say the subject eventually showed up along with “a few familiar faces.”

KPD says two of the three individuals had already been arrested by VCAT within the past week in connection with deadly conduct cases.

Officers attempted to do a traffic stop and one of the individuals ran.

As the individual was running, authorities say he dropped two handguns, one of which turned out to be stolen.

Police say all occupants were safely taken into custody, and multiple firearms were seized.

“Another example of proactive policing by our specialized units to keep our community safe—and a reminder that running from VCAT is never a winning strategy," KPD said.
