Fairfield Police Chief to retire

FAIRFIELD, Texas (KWTX) - The Fairfield Police Department announced that its police chief, Chief David Utsey, is planning to retire.
“We would like to extend our congratulations to Chief David Utsey on the occasion of his retirement,” the department said.
Chief Utsey has served for 33 years in law enforcement, starting his career at the Freestone County Sheriff’s Office.
Following his tenure as Sergeant with the Fairfield Police Department, he became Chief of Police in 2019.
The department says Chief Utsey facilitated the modernization of the Fairfield Police Department.
“Chief Utsey will forever be an integral part of the Fairfield Police Department. We wish him all the best in his retirement,” the department said.
