Man arrested after leading authorities on car chase, crashing into car and attempting to flee on foot in Bell County

BELL COUNTY, Texas (KWTX) - A man was arrested after leading authorities on a car chase, crashing into a parked car and later attempting to flee on foot in Bell County, according to authorities.

According to the Little River Academy PD, the pursuit began at 11:13 p.m. with a traffic violation, speeding 93 mph in a 55 mph zone in Little River Academy on State Highway 95.

Police say the vehicle turned off all of its lights and attempted to evade our Officer into Temple.

During the pursuit, the suspect’s vehicle struck a parked vehicle, causing damage to the car.

Authorities say the pursuit eventually ended at the Greenbrier Park Apartments.

Authorities say the Little River Academy PD was the only agency directly involved in the pursuit, but the Temple Police Department assisted with a perimeter and helped locate the suspect.

The suspect, identified as Aidan Brown, was taken into custody without incident and is charged with evading with a motor vehicle, evading on foot, and a collision involving damage to a vehicle less than or equal to $200.

Police say Brown has bonded out out of jail.
