Alyssa Riggs was born and raised in Waco, Texas and is a proud 2018 Waco High School graduate, Lion Pride runs deep!
She moved to Canyon, Texas for college where she graduated in 2022 from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelors of Art in advertising, public relations, and applied communication.
During school, she interned at KWTX's sister station KFDA in Amarillo, Texas where she worked for two years filling several roles including newsroom intern, video journalist and morning reporter/anchor.
Alyssa grew up watching KWTX News 10 with her family in Waco, Texas and is excited to be a part of making something the whole family can watch.
As a fifth-generation Wacoan, Alyssa is so happy to be home in Central Texas with her family.
When not at the station, Alyssa fills her time with planning her wedding to her fiancé Chandler, traveling, watching theatre productions, eating good food, reading and hanging out with her mom.
Alyssa is looking forward to serving Central Texas through News 10!
