Baylor University College of Medicine Founding and Growth

DALLAS, Texas (KWTX) - On November 19, 1900, the Baylor University College of Medicine opened its doors as the University of Dallas Medical Department.
81 students enrolled in that first year, and 37 diplomas were awarded between 1901 and 1903.
In 1903, they partnered with Baylor University and changed the name to Baylor University College of Medicine.
In the 2022-23 school year, more than 1650 students were enrolled in the school, which has stood for more than 120 years
