WACO, Texas (KWTX) - On January 2, 2024, Baylor’s Foster Pavilion opened to the public, hosting its first basketball game.

The bear’s men’s basketball team beat Cornell 98 to 79 in front of a sold-out crowd in the arena’s inaugural game.

The 213 million dollar area on the Brazos holds 7500 fans, and its intimate feel provides a stark contrast from the Ferrell Center, which both Baylor basketball programs called home for more than 25 years.

Since foster pavillion opened, the Baylor men’s team has a 30- 5 record at home, with the women’s team going 32- 5 inside the pavilion.
