Central Texas Gears Up for 36th Annual Food For Families Drive

WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Today marks the 36th annual Food For Families in Central Texas, the largest one-day food drive in the state!
What began in 1990 as a vital response to growing community need, Food For Families now spans 9 counties with 19 televised sites.
Last year alone, we collected more than 2.1 million pounds of food, adding to the 42 million-plus pounds gathered over its 35-year history.
Every pound collected today stays right here in its county, distributed by local nonprofits.
