TEMPLE, Texas - Our next Be Remarkable takes us to Temple, where we had the absolute pleasure of meeting Wes Teeters.

Wes is the proud owner of Wes’s Burger Shack and is known not only for his delicious burgers and onion rings, but for his generosity.

Wes stepped up in the aftermath of the tornado, feeding around two-thousand people including the linemen who were there trying to restore power, but he does not take the credit.

“The reason I do it one is for God, first and foremost, I smile not because I’m happy but because of all the opportunities he has given me,” Teeters said.

Teeters even hires individuals with special needs to work at his restaurant, giving them a job and valuable experience. It is his continued selflessness that exemplifies Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers’ mission to honor those in the community being remarkable.

“We want to give you a check for $500 dollars for being remarkable and caring for the community.”

“I will donate back, as far as I will help somebody else,” Teeters said.

It is the reason Brenda Sawyer nominated him for going above and beyond for his town.

“He lives his faith and not everybody can say that,” Sawyer said.

Wes also provided Thanksgiving feasts for hundreds of people. He looks to continue to give back and remain selfless following God.

“It looks like I’m doing it but there’s a lot of people that don’t get credit,” Teeters said.
