GHOLSON, Texas - Our next Be Remarkable takes us to Gholson where we had the honor to meet a true hero: bus driver Felisha Biles.

Biles exemplified the character that aligns with Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers mission of being remarkable when she sprung into action during one of her daily school bus routes to protect a Gholson student from a predator.

“I knew something wasn’t right. and then when that person rolled down their window, automatically I knew it wasn’t right. It wasn’t somebody, it wasn’t a vehicle that I’ve seen out there. It wasn’t somebody that I’m seeing out there. It wasn’t a parent. and I just automatically knew that I needed to get her on the bus as soon as we could,” Biles said.

The watchful eye and care for the students is the reason Biles received 500 dollars for being remarkable on behalf of Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers.

Those are the characteristics Angela Goates saw in Biles when she nominated her for Be Remarkable.

“Well, she just goes above and beyond in everything she does. She helps the kids so much. And she is always very alert and aware of the surroundings when she’s driving the bus,” Goates said.

Biles said she tries to do the best job she can each day.

“Even though it’s something that we should be doing in the first place, it’s just what keeps you going, you know, keeps you waking up in the morning and going and being with these, these students and, and doing the best job you can, the kids themselves and watching them grow and seeing them every day and just being with them,” Biles said.
