Killeen, Texas (KWTX)- Our next Be Remarkable takes us out to Killeen, where we met John Karlik.

Karlik was instrumental in bringing Feed the Need program every first and third Saturday, operating out of his truck and a tent awning.

“To see the people when we were doing the Thursday meal and the joy it brought them and to just stop them, it hit right here and we tried to find a way to keep it going,” Karlik said.

It is that call to action that showcased Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers’ value of being remarkable and is why John was chosen to receive a 500 dollar check on behalf of Daniel Stark.

Colleen Smith-Fey nominated john because of his selflessness and what he does for the community.

“When he picked it up, he ran with it, he probably feeds 70-80 homeless people every second week,” Smith-Fey said.

If you know someone like John make sure to nominate them at kwtx.com/beremarkable.
