Killeen teacher goes above and beyond for his special behavioral students
Killeen, Texas (KWTX)- Our next Be Remarkable takes us to Killeen and Manor Middle School where we had the honor to meet Peter Yorke.
Mr. Yorke goes above and beyond to teach and educate his special behavioral students and even gives them haircuts and clothes when they need it.
“He truly is a remarkable and selfless person. If he had to, he’d give you the shirt off his back. He just goes above and beyond for his kids, he’ll do whatever he can to help and fulfill that need. That’s just what he does,” Nominator Shantel Edwards said.
It is that attitude that showcases living out Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers’ mission of being remarkable, and it was why Mr. Yorke received a $500 check on behalf of Daniel Stark.
“Do something that pours back into you because the way that you care for the people here, you can’t pour from an empty cup. So, thank you for being remarkable and thank you for caring for your students, your family, your colleagues, everyone. It’s worth remarking about.”
And Mr. Yorke was as humble as ever, thanking the others he works with.
“I have some great colleagues that really help me, that support what I do. Positive feedback, both positive and negative, that really strengthens me. I think I’m in the right place,” Mr. Yorke said.
If you know someone like Mr. Yorke who is being remarkable in your community, make sure you nominate them at kwtx.com/beremarkable.
