Clifton, Texas (KWTX)- Our next Be Remarkable takes us to Clifton, where we had the pleasure of meeting Debbie Stubbs.

Debbie has been honoring veterans with her beautiful quilts she sews as part of the Quilts of Valor program.

Many veterans in Bosque County have had the pleasure of having one of her quilts.

“I’m humbled by what I do because I just love to sew. I had a mother that taught me how to sew and right now my mother is very, very proud of me, absolutely because of what I do. But these men deserve the honor,” Stubbs said.

Debbie’s continued effort to honor veterans aligns with Daniel Stark Injury Lawyer’s company mission of being remarkable and is why she was awarded a $500 check on behalf of Daniel Stark.

And you can see how proud of the quilts the veterans are, as they brought their quilt to show off when Debbie received her check.

“I have a t-shirt that says, ‘I’m not the hero, I just make the quilt’,” Stubbs said.

But the veterans would say otherwise.

“I think that when we find someone that appreciates veterans as much as Debbie does, we have to do something to honor her,” nominator Tom Nichols said.
