Lorena, TX cemeteries flourish thanks to dedicated community member
Lorena, Texas (KWTX)- Our next Be Remarkable takes us to Lorena, where we had the pleasure to meet a man that goes by Jon Goddi.
Goddi is a fixture in the community, taking his time to care about something that is not always in the public eye-the cemetery.
“I guess I feel this way because, I don’t ever expect this. I don’t look for validation, I just do it,” Goddi said.
Never expecting recognition, that is what aligns Goddi to the mission of Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers and being remarkable as he earned a $500 check from Daniel Stark as part of the be remarkable program.
Goddi makes it his mission to help keep up cemeteries like the Lorena and Cox cemetery, and he also helps families that are going through their worst times navigate post death plans for family members, something that is not easy, but he takes pride in.
“It’s just it’s important to me, personally, that this place is kept up, you know, when we’re long and gone,” Goddi said.
That is why Diane Stone nominated him for the Be Remarkable program, and his friends who run the Boujee Bean coffee shop were there to see him get honored.
“He has started a GoFundMe and started raising for family and friends to place headstones on graves that don’t have headstones,” Stone said.
Jon posts updates on his Facebook page under the name Jon Goddi. If you know someone like Jon make sure to nominate them at kwtx.com/beremarkable.
