Community leader in Copperas Cove raises funds to bring Allin House back to life
Copperas Cove, Texas (KWTX)- Our next Be Remarkable takes us to Copperas Cove where we had the pleasure to meet John Gallen.
John, a military vet, has called Copperas Cove home for quite a while as he is a retired teacher at Copperas Cove High School, and has been a school board member as well as a council member.
He is currently the president of the Copperas Cove Historical Society looking to raise funds to restore the Allin House.
“We’re going to have a campaign to get the money so we can restore this and restore to its glory and have it here for the community. It’s not necessarily for the historical society, it’s going to be for the community,” Gallen said.
It is that selflessness and willingness to give back to his community that aligns him with Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers’ mission of being remarkable.
The Copperas Cove mayor, Dan Yancy, was in attendance and says john is an important member of the community.
“We are blessed to have great volunteerism here in our city. It shows and it’s an important part of what we are and who we are, what we stand for,” Yancy said.
John continues to give back to the community who gives so much to him.
“This is one of the most generous communities. They come out, they support you. We got a great crowd here this this morning,” Gallen said.
If you know someone like John, make sure to nominate them at kwtx.com/beremarkable.
