Degrees of Science: Wild Plan to Safeguard Earth’s Biodiversity on the Moon!

(KWTX) -A group of researchers, led by the Smithsonian Institute, are working on an “out of this world” plan to create a lunar biorepository. This vault on the Moon could preserve genetic material indefinitely without the need of active refrigeration due to the constantly cold temperatures that exist in the craters of the Moon. Dr. Mary Hagedorn is leading the research.
