Degrees of Science: Auroras

(KWTX) -The Northern lights are typically confined to areas closer to the north pole, buts strong solar storms last year caused the aurora to be seen as far south as Texas and Florida. In this week’s Degrees of Science we are talking with Shawn Dahl, from the Space Weather Prediction Center, about the science behind how these auroras form and how recent solar storms have made it where more people were able to see these beautiful auroras.
