(KWTX) -Dr. Jose Hernandez’s life is an amazing story of perseverance and never giving up on your dream. He grew up as a migrant farmworker with the dream of being an Astronaut, and despite being rejected by NASA 11 times he never gave up on his dream. Dr. Hernandez’s story inspired a critically acclaimed movie “A Million Miles Away”.
In part 1 of our interview Dr. Hernandez tells us about the people that helped to push him forward with his dream, the trials he faced trying to get into NASA, and about his autobiography that inspired a movie.
