Gatesville, Texas - This week’s Be Remarkable takes us out to Gatesville, where we had the honor to meet up with Pam Bone.

Bone is known to have a passion for helping students and served as the principal for Gatesville Elementary for 30 years, but after retirement she couldn’t stay away and is working with students in a new role.

“It keeps me connected with my kids, and my fellow colleagues, and the community and that’s what its all about, it keeps me going,” the Be Remarkable winner said.

Colleagues and former students say Bone left a lasting impact on their lives; that is why Stacey Smith, a former colleague of Bone, nominated her for Be Remarkable.

“She is a wealth of knowledge. I mean, you just can’t believe it. She knows all the students and their families – she knows what each one of them needs. If she sees one struggling she’s the first to recommend something that can help. She was definitely an inspiration to me, and she’s impacted me in ways that she doesn’t even know,” Stacey Smith, Nominator.

“Thank you for loving on your students and your school district and having a heart for what you do in this community,” Linda McMillan, Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers.

There is no doubt the $500 check from Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers is going right back to her classroom.

“I have learned from her just as my children have her patience her love for the kids and her knowledge.”
