RIESEL, Texas - This Be Remarkable takes us out to Riesel where we had the pleasure to meet with Gloria Tanner.

Tanner works with Riesel ISD as an aide in the in-school-suspension helping kids get back on the right path and always having an open door.

“She can help the good kids and the needy kids, and we are so proud of her and how she does that,” DL Wilson said.

Tanner brings her experience from working in daycares to the Riesel ISD. Her patience, acceptance, and grace are the reasons she was nominated by Mary Wilson.

She was overjoyed and shocked to receive a $500 check from Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers for being remarkable.

“One of our core values at Daniel Stark is being remarkable, and that’s why we have our Be Remarkable program. We try to find people like you in the community that we can just come in and share the words that people are remarking about with you. And so, on behalf of Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers and KWTX, we want to give you a check for $500.”

Tanner plans to be at the school every day helping junior high and high school students and showing love and respect with a high-five, a huge hug, or a quick joke.

“I love being around kids and I love being there for them,” Tanner said.
