Non-profit founder dedicates time to helping older community
WACO, Texas - The next Be Remarkable check was handed out right here at KWTX! Teresa Gingles didn’t know why she was in the lobby here at the station, but she soon was made aware.
She is the founder and executive director of “Better at Last”, a non-profit dedicated to helping the older community.
“I needed a soft place for people to land so I could continue to connect. I was learning more about our community and the incredible things that we have to offer. And I needed a way to connect people to the other organizations, keeping people strong and active for longer periods of time,” Teresa Gingles, Be Remarkable Winner.
Going above and beyond with compassion and care is why Holt Kelly nominated Teresa to win 500 dollars from Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers for being remarkable after being a patient of hers going through an injury.
“She deserves it. She is remarkable, that is really it, simple,” Holt Kelly, Nominator.
“When I can get people stronger and more active and more connected, now we have more people who are able to continue serving. So, it becomes this incredible loop that we are tapping into. It’s not anything I’m doing, I’m just getting people plugged in,” Teresa Gingles, Be Remarkable Winner.
“You have such a contagious personality and the drive for how you care for your patients is remarkable. So, from Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers and KWTX, our partnership for Be Remarkable, we want to give you a check for $500,” Linda McMillan, Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers.
