WACO, Texas - This next Be Remarkable takes us to Baylor University, where we had the pleasure to meet Dr. Marty Harvill.

Harvill not only paves the way for his students, but he has also taken the initiative to bridge local elementary schools with Baylor students to help learn complex science research topics.

He says the program has been a huge success thanks to his students.

“There’s very few times in life where you can get a win-win-win situation. So, my students win because they get to teach science, which allows for them to sort of rehash all that, but they also have to break it down so that the kids can understand that hard science,” Marty Harvill, Be Remarkable Winner.

Now the program called I-Bears has expanded to as far as the Yucatan peninsula, as students have now had the opportunity to teach medical science to kids in Spanish; something that appealed to Zach Shields, a Baylor student, that nominated Harvill to receive a $500 dollar check from Be Remarkable and Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers.

“I can combine both my love for science but also give back to people that are international, who speak Spanish and may not have resources to be a scientist,” Zach Shields, Nominator.

When Harvill found out he was receiving the check he knew what he would do, give it back to the program.

“I have to get a Starlink,” Harvill said.
