Degrees of Science: Bird Flu

(KWTX) -There have been widespread cases of H5N1 bird flu (Avian Influenza) in wild birds, poultry, and dairy cows. In the U.S. there has been several recent cases of bird flu in humans. We are talking with Dr. Nahid Bhadelia, the founding director of the Center on Emerging Infectious Diseases at Boston University, about what scientists are learning about bird flu and what kind of future impacts it could have on humans.
