Third suspect charged after shooting, pursuit involving Amazon warehouse employees in Waco: records

WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A third suspect is behind bars after an altercation involving Amazon warehouse employees escalated into a shooting and a police chase in September, an arrest warrant states.
Alexis Rosales, 20, was arrested on Dec. 17 and charged with five first-degree felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, online jail records show.
Rosales is being held at the McLennan County Jail on bonds totaling $380,000.

Andres Sanchez, 22, was the first of the three suspects to be arrested in late September. He was charged with five counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon from a moving vehicle, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
Sanchez bonded out of the McLennan County Jail soon after his arrest.

John Phillip Ramirez, 20, was arrested on Dec. 12 and charged with five counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, evading arrest or detention in a motor vehicle and possession of marijuana.
His bonds totaled $130,000, but records show Ramirez is no longer being held at the county jail.

At about 2:20 a.m. on Sept. 27, Waco police officers patrolling the area near the intersection of Bagby Avenue and Marketplace Drive heard and observed gunshots being fired in the direction of a red Dodge Charger.
The officers pulled the driver of the Charger over and learned several men inside a white Chrysler 300 had fired rounds at the Charger. Police noticed the Charger was riddled with bullet holes, according to the affidavit.
Witnesses in the Charger told police there was a “disturbance” at the Amazon warehouse located in the 2000 block of Exchange Parkway and they drove to the CEFCO gas station at Bagby and Loop 340.
Furthermore, the victims said their vehicle was fired at while they were driving away from the Amazon warehouse and while at the CEFCO, police wrote in the arrest warrant.
Police recovered several bullet casings at the CEFCO.
Police officers soon spotted a white Chrysler 300 matching the description of the suspect vehicle and attempted to pull the driver over.
That driver, identified in court documents as Ramirez, refused to stop and led police on a pursuit that ended when the driver crashed into a curb at the intersection of 12th Street and Gurley Lane, the documents state.
Police said three men inside the Chrysler 300 exited the vehicle and ran away from the scene of the wreck. Officers were able to catch up to Sanchez and took him into custody.
Inside the Chrysler, police found more spent bullet casings, the backstrap of a handgun and a box of ammunition.
While in custody, Sanchez told police there was a disturbance between the people riding in the Chrysler and the individuals in the Charger.
Sanchez further told police the individuals involved in the altercation were “employees at the Amazon warehouse.”
Detectives later obtained video evidence showing Rosas, Ramirez and Sanchez involved in a fight in the parking lot at the Amazon warehouse “before the shooting and immediately before the vehicle pursuit,” an arrest warrant states.
The victims told police they believed Sanchez was the individual firing the weapon, according to the arrest warrant.
A 2025 Texas law (HB795) enhanced the crime of aggravated assault to a first-degree felony if the offense involves shooting from one vehicle into another.
