The shooting was reported on Sept. 27 in the area of Bagby Avenue and Marketplace Drive.

Police officers in the area heard gunfire and pulled over a vehicle with multiple victims inside.

The victims told police Ramirez fired multiple rounds at their vehicle after the workplace altercation, the warrant states. The officers noticed two rounds struck the vehicle the victims were riding in.

Officers later recovered spent casings at the scene of the shooting.

Ramirez was reportedly in a white Chrysler vehicle and officers soon spotted a vehicle matching the description.

When they attempted to pull the Chrysler over, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene and led police on a pursuit for a “lengthy amount of time until the vehicle crashed,” the warrant states.

Several individuals exited the wrecked Chrysler and fled on foot, police said.

Investigators used the vehicle license plate information and mobile phone records to place Ramirez at the scene of the crime, the warrants state.

Ramirez was arrested on Dec. 12 and booked into the McLennan County Jail, where he is being held on bonds totaling $130,000.
