Drunken Waco teen wrecks ATV into parked SUV, injures himself and two others: affidavit
WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A drunken Waco teenager was charged after he wrecked a Can-Am All-Terrain Vehicle into a parked SUV, injuring himself and two passengers, an arrest affidavit states.
Yorel Gonzalez, 18, is charged with two counts of intoxication assault with a vehicle resulting in serious bodily injury, according to online jail records.

The collision happened at about 12:15 a.m. on Dec. 17 in the 3300 block of James Avenue.
Police dispatch learned about the wreck when it received an automated message stating, “the owner of this iPhone was in a severe car crash.”
Officers investigating the wreck learned Gonzalez was intoxicated when he collided with an SUV, injuring two of his passengers.
Gonzalez, who did not own the ATV and had merely been given permission to drive it, ran away from the scene of the wreck, police said.
He was located near Speight and Richter with blood on his head and an injury to his knee “consistent with injuries from a crash,” police wrote in the affidavit.
Gonzalez allegedly smelled of alcohol and was arrested after a blood draw warrant was executed. He remains jailed at the McLennan County Jail.
The extent of the damage to the parked SUV and the ATV was not disclosed in the affidavit. The status of the two injured passengers was not included.
