TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - A Flint man has been sentenced to a year in state jail Thursday for knocking the hands and nose off a statue of Jesus at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Flint.

Jordan Grey Clark, 37, was arrested in September, four days after video footage captured Clark crossing the church lawn and climbing the statue with what appeared to be a hammer. At the time of the crime, the damage was estimated to be over $10,000.
Clark pleaded guilty to criminal mischief at a place of worship Thursday and was sentenced to a year in state jail. Sentencing options ranged from 180 days to two years.
Restitution has not yet been decided.
