Jordan Grey Clark, 37, was arrested in September, four days after video footage captured Clark crossing the church lawn and climbing the statue with what appeared to be a hammer. At the time of the crime, the damage was estimated to be over $10,000.

A security camera captured the moments the hands and nose were broken off a marble Jesus statue at a Flint church.

Clark pleaded guilty to criminal mischief at a place of worship Thursday and was sentenced to a year in state jail. Sentencing options ranged from 180 days to two years.

Restitution has not yet been decided.
