FORT HOOD, Texas (KWTX) - We are learning disturbing new details about a doctor who was recent suspended from his duties at Darnall Army Medical Center on Fort Hood.

2 different Texas law firms say their clients were victimized without knowing it by an OB-GYN doctor working at Darnall Army Medical Center on post.

Carlson Law firm based in Austin and Cobos Law Firm in Houston have taken on clients in recent days that say they have been notified by Army CID that they are on a growing list of victims in this case.

“So far, we represent 7 individuals who were improperly touch or who they’re privacy was violated by this doctor,” said Andrew Cobos, Principal Attorney with Cobos Law Firm, Houston. “Now, we’ve been contacted by many others.”

Carlson Law Firm currently has 1 client but both law firms say the case involves more than going to court.

“For the one client that we have right now, my main objective with her, is getting her into the right hands for some counseling because she’s going to need it in a significant way,” said Bill Rossick, Attorney with Carlson Law Firm, Austin.

That’s because the OB-GYN doctor is being accused of taking photos and videos during exams, without the consent or knowledge of patients.

“The victims that I’ve spoken to have confirmed that they’ve seen pictures if themselves inside his rooms,” said Cobos. “They’ve seen videos of themselves as he’s conducted these procedures on them. So, that has been confirmed. Although, it’s coming from the victims and what they’ve seen based in the investigation that the Army’s done.”

Many of the victims, like the client with Carlson Law Firm, had no idea they were on the list until Amy CID investigators contacted them.

“Wednesday, she got a call from CID asking her to verify her identity and the explained the situation,” said Rossick. “That she might have been a victim of the OB-GYN at Fort Hood who was taking video.”

Both law firms say they are in the beginning investigative stages of the case, but they are moving fast to uncover all they can.

Details they say are horrifying.

“We’ve found that he is improperly touching the victims, and in many cases, he’s performing procedures that are unnecessary,” said Cobos. “So, like I said, the deeper that we dig, the more that we unearth and it is getting grizzlier by the moment.”

Both the Carlson and Cobos law firms are planning to file civil litigation on behalf of their clients.

A list of clients they say is growing by the day and they are just getting started.

To respect the rights and privacy of those involved in the case, we have chosen not to identify the law firm’s clients or the doctor being accused at this time.
