City of Waco offers free Christmas tree recycling event
Parks & Recreation crew will mulch trees at Cobbs Recycling Center
WACO, Texas (KWTX) - The City of Waco will host a free Christmas tree recycling event from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 3 at Cobbs Recycling Center, 4201 Trice Ave.
The Chipping of the Green event allows residents to bring real Christmas trees for mulching by Parks & Recreation crews. The event is open to everyone at no cost.
Residents must remove all decorations from trees before arriving at the event. City of Waco staff will be available to help unload trees from vehicles.
The recycling center is located at 4201 Trice Ave.
If you can’t make it to the event, City of Waco Solid Waste can pick up natural Christmas trees from your curb on any green week in January. Remember to remove all the decorations from the tree and place it at your curb before 7 a.m. on your regular pickup day.
