SpaceX parades rocket engines during Founder’s Day in McGregor, Texas
McGREGOR, Texas (KWTX) - For the third year in a row, SpaceX paraded two rockets, one which flew to space, through the streets of downtown McGregor in the annual Founder’s Day parade.
Founder’s Day is an all-day celebration for the community to enjoy its small-town heritage which includes not only a parade, but dance performances, live music and a carnival.

The parade happened Saturday morning and the SpaceX float caught the attention of those lining Main Street.
Laylah Carrillo is a 7th grader at McGregor Junior High and was there as the floats passed.
“I just saw a rocket from SpaceX, and it was super cool, and I loved it because it was like really different,” Carrillo said.

The first was engine a research and development engine that’s never been to space.
The second engine was flown to space on March 6 on Flight 8 from Starbase in South Texas. The rocket separated and the booster returned to and caught by the launch tower.
Both floats were pulled by Tesla Cybertrucks owned by employees of SpaceX in McGregor.
