(KWTX) - Here’s this week’s Restaurant Report Card for Central Texas:

Garibaldi Restaurant at 3319 Brook Circle in Waco failed a renewal inspection with a 75. (25 demerits)

According to the food safety worker, a pot of menudo (cow’s stomach) was not kept at the right temperature.

There were blood droppings from raw meat directly on the Ready-To-Eat menudo in an uncovered container.

That was thrown away.

There was some raw beef and chicken not stored properly.

The reach-in freezer had some sort of unknown stagnant reddish blood-like liquid substance.

There were some other repeat violations.

This place needed reinspection.

Curry Up & Wok This Way inside Union Hall at 720 Franklin Avenue in Waco failed a renewal inspection with a 90. (10 demerits)

According to the food safety worker, an employee was prepping and cooking without any sanitizing solution prepared.

There was no certified food manager on duty and there was an unknown white liquid in a spray bottle.

This place needed reinspection.

Jim’s Krispy Chicken at 3401 Bellmead Drive in Bellmead passed a routine inspection with an 89. (11 demerits)

According to the food safety worker, some employees did not have valid food handler’s cards.

The potato salad and coleslaw were not kept at the right temperature.

The back entrance was not sealed properly.

There were multiple rusted a-c vents and ceiling panels bulging down from the ceiling.

And this week’s Clean Plate award goes to Sweetness Desserts at 2034 North Valley Mills Drive in Waco.

Of course, this place makes amazing cakes for weddings, beautifully decorated and multi-tiered.
