(KWTX) - Here’s this week’s Restaurant Report Card for Central Texas:

3 Spoons Yogurt at 2440 West Loop 340 in Waco failed a reinspection with an 87.  (13 demerits)

According to the food safety worker, the following foods were not kept at the right temperature: the sliced mango, strawberries, and pineapple, the mango boba, and cookie dough topping.

They were moved to be cooled off quickly.

The sanitizer solution was not at an appropriate level.

Also, there was an unknown white flaky substance on the plastic drainage racks.

Because of the repeat violations the business had to pay a fee.

Kentucky Fried Chicken at 1030 North Valley Mills Drive in Waco failed a renewal inspection with a 93. (7 demerits)

According to the food safety worker, several metal sheet pans had excessive, old flaky food debris.

There were 2 dead roaches and multiple dead crickets in the dry storage area.

There was a slimy gray substance on the outside of the ice dispensers on both soda machines.

A yellow and brown mold-like substance, green and brown, and black and brown substance in the kitchen area.

Jersey Mikes Subs at 1515 Hewitt Drive in Waco failed a renewal inspection with a 94. (6 demerits)

According to the food safety worker, the following foods were not kept at the right temperature: the sliced tomatoes, onions, and pickles, shredded lettuce, and cherry pepper relish. They were thrown out.

Also, the pepperoni, ham and prosciuttini were not kept at the right temperature.

They were moved to cool off quickly.

This was a concern that the cleaning procedures for the deli slicer did not include washing and rinsing before sanitizing. That needed to change.

And this week’s Clean Plate award goes to Black Pot Cajun Cuisine at 417 North Lacy Drive in Lacy Lakeview.

This is a small business with a family-style buffet.

It is the flavor of Louisiana.

You can order seafood baskets, and Po’Boys.

Check out the frog legs and shrimp dinners.

There’s even gator.

Don’t skip on the dessert.

There is banana pudding, peach and blackberry cobblers, and German chocolate cake.
