There was a white unknown powder at the edge of the water heater and a roach on the dishwashing machine along with roach droppings and food debris.

All of that was thrown out. The breakfast tacos were not kept at the right temperature either. They were reheated. There was no certified food manager on site.
Multiple employees were wearing jewelry. That is prohibited.

According to the food safety worker, the raw shell eggs were not stored properly. They were relocated. The only worker on duty needed a food handler’s certificate.

The facility was missing sanitizer test strips. There were no paper towels or soap at the hand sink in the kitchen.
All these places needed reinspections.
And this week’s Clean Plate award goes to Lupita’s Taqueria at 2001 Harrison Street in Bellmead.
Here we go again. This place already has a clean plate. It must be doing something right to get another.
If you’re driving up, I-35 and need a quick bite, some enchiladas or sopesitos.
I know it’s cold today. But this place also has some refreshing beverages. Agua frescas. Lemon, pena and melon.
How about some fruta en vaso. That’s fruit and a cup of some seasonings.
