FORT CAVAZOS, Texas (KWTX) – Fort Cavazos on July 15 hosted the opening of the Phantom Centralized HUB at the Iron Horse Warrior restaurant.

The new facility will modernize and efficiently provide meals for soldiers across the Central Texas Army post.

There are three efforts included in the Phantom Centralized HUB and they are Phantom Fresh, Culinary outpost food truck operations, and installation meal preparation.

Phantom Fresh will be the effort that allows soldiers to access food “to-go” or in an airport kiosk manner. They will stock their shelves so that soldiers can “grab-and-go” their meals during the day.

Currently, two outpost food trucks are playing a crucial role in supporting soldiers all throughout Fort Cavazos. They are located in places on the base that bridge the gap for soldiers’ access to food, the press release reads.

Lastly, the installation meal preparation allows soldiers to place pick-up orders for their food. According to Fort Cavazos, the soldiers will select foods online, have them created at the Phantom Centralized HUB, and then delivered to the closest Warrior Restaurant for pick-up.

According to Master Sergeant Randall Summerford, “nutrition is key” for the army and Phantom Centralized HUB is making sure the soldiers are getting all the nutrients they need.
