Good News Friday: December 13, 2024
WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Five River Valley Middle School Students were selected for the 2025 American Choral Directors Association National Honor Choirs.
Davis Eggleston, Eden Flowers, Raylan Gorham, Noah Myers and Ben Satterfield earned their spots through a competitive audition process that began with over 1,000 students from across the United States competing for only about 200 seats.
A pair of standout Harker Heights High School Students made it through a multi-audition gauntlet this fall to earn seats in the Texas Music Educators Association All-State Orchestra. Both have made it to the elite ensemble before.
Junior Rebekah Koh earned All-State honors for the third year and senior Alexander Lee made the high mark for the second year in a row.
We would also like to take a moment to congratulate class of 2024-B on their graduation from the Police Academy. These photos show the officers who graduated from Temple. The class will officially report for duty on January 5th.
Troopers will head to duty stations across the state. We wish them a peaceful and safe career serving and protecting their community.
And congratulations to Ellison High School Seniors Jayla Usher, who won the young royalty crowned in gold pageant and Ti-jhae Lee who was the runner up. 3-Corp Commander, Kevin Admiral crowns them.
This was the Inaugural Pageant, the brothers of the Killeen Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha hosted.
All 7 contestants were spectacular.
