WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Congratulations to Chaquinta Fisher of McLennan County. She has earned the 2025 Beth Ann Unger Women in Technology Award.

With 26 years of service, she leads I.T Support Manager and Website Accessibility Coordinator.

The Texas State Technical College Waco is celebrating a big win!

At the 2025 Skills U.S.A Texas Leadership and Skills Conference in Corpus Christi, students from T.S.T.C brought home Gold medals.

Meanwhile, 28 Killeen ISD schools have been named Rising Stars in the Capturing Kids’ Hearts Program, a prestigious recognition for schools in their first year of implementing this motivational program.

At the Special Olympics Region 12 Area Track and Field meet at Belton High School, Killeen ISD athletes showcased their passion and skill. Javen Carter leading the charge. Along with 25 other Dream Team Athletes, they won dozens of medals.

They’re now headed to the State meet in May.

Big congratulations to Alta Vista Elementary students Bryson and Olivia! Their outstanding artwork earned them Artistic Achievement Certificates and a special honor, their pieces will be displayed at E.S.C Region 12.

We’re celebrating love in the newsroom! Congrats to Alyssa and chandler, who tied the knot in Crawford this past weekend and are now on their honeymoon in Scotland.

Also best wishes to Madison and Adam, saying “I do” tomorrow in Tyler.
