WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Future fashion stars are stitching up creativity and style this week at CTC College for Kids.
These young designers have been learning sewing skills and working together to bring their ideas to life.
Their designs will debut soon at the College’s Discover CTC: Eagle Edition open house, where family and friends can celebrate their creativity and hard work.
Fifteen outstanding students from Killeen ISD’s Career Center FFA Chapter earned the Prestigious Lone Star FFA degree at this year’s Texas FFA Convention.
This top honor recognizes their hard work, leadership, and dedication to agriculture including over one-thousand hours of hands-on experience and community service.
The Killeen branch NAACP and youth council recently attended the 116th National Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.
They brought home two Thalheimer Awards for outstanding publications and programs.
Plus, 9-year-old Youth Council President Caleena Moultrie earned the Gloster B. Current Regional Organizer of the year award.
She also serves as treasurer of the Texas State Conference NAACP and Health Chair for the state youth division.
