(KWTX) - We’re just one day away from this year’s Food for Families and pantries like Heart and Hands Ministries are already seeing donations roll on in.

For roughly 10 years, Heart and Hands Ministries has been apart of Food for Families.

With the donations they have already, the shelves have been organized based on the items and a good portion of those came from the Salado Fire Department and community - dropping off 1,000 pounds of food!

Also, the office manager at the UMHB School of Nursing brought in 300 pounds.

“Every time we give out food our shelves get depleted a little bit, get a little nervous; then when someone comes in with a whole other car load it’s wonderful to see that people realize the continuous need that we have,” Pat Scarborough, the Director of Heart and Hands Ministries said.
