Classroom Champions: Rosebud-Lott’s Brooke Skala
LOTT, Texas (KWTX) - Rosebud-Lott senior Brooke Skala is one of the premiere student athletes at her school.
“My goal in everything is to give 110 percent in everything that I do,” said Skala. “And work hard every single day and get better and better.”
“Brooke is just one of those golden kids that every coach wants on their team,” said Rosebud-Lott head volleyball coach Amanda Spencer. “She’s the ideal student, ideal athlete, ideal person. If you don’t like Brooke Skala, then the issue is you, not her.”
From volleyball to track or even softball and golf, Brooke Skalal is excellent at everything. She’s president of the 4H Chapter and even president of the school Lighthouse Team. She says the key to juggling it all is her attitude.
“I try to keep a positive energy all around ,” said Skala. ‘I encourage others to play with their heart and don’t ever give up.”
Skala is on track to graduate as class valedictorian. She plans to attend Texas A&M University next year and eventually earn her doctorate in physical therapy.
“I first had thought about nursing,” said Skala. “And then after shadowing a little bit, it seemed really fun, but I don’t know if that’s truly what I really want to do. Playing sports and everything has really truly inspired me to go into physical therapy.”
Congratulations to Brooke Skala, you’re a Classroom Champion!
