Classroom Champions: Robinson’s Reese Tate
ROBINSON, Texas (KWTX) - Robinson senior Reese Tate puts her heart into everything she does.
“I actually have a Bible verse that’s my favorite. It’s Colossians 3:23 and it says ‘Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart,’” said Tate. “I am just super passionate about everything that I do, so I just believe to just work at everything with all my heart and put my mind to it and just do it.”
From volleyball to singing and FFA or even the National Honor Society, it’s Tate’s hard work and character that set her apart.
“She’s kind of like the All-American high school kid that does everything,” said Robinson head volleyball coach Mandi Roberts. “She’s great in every avenue that she does at school. So we are excited that she represents Robinson so well on and off the court.”
Tate played a key role in the Robinson softball state title run. She was named to the All-State team after belting a grand slam in the semifinals.
“It’s just like a once in a lifetime thing that not many people get to experience,” said Tate. “Every step up the way was just a hardwired journey. It was just such a blessing to make it all the way to the end and win it with the girls.”
Ranked 12th in her senior class, Tate plans to attend Baylor and eventually become a physical therapist. Before she hits campus, she wants to be remembered as a reliable friend to others.
“I would mainly just say (I want to be remembered) as the girl who’s always there for you whenever you need someone,” said Tate. “Just someone who’s always uplifting and positive and helpful.”
Congratulations to Reese Tate, you’re a Classroom Champion!
