MENTOR, Ohio (WOIO/Gray News) – A man in Ohio was charged after police said he was discovered video recording an 11-year-old boy in a mall restroom on Tuesday.

The trip to the Great Lakes mall turned into a disturbing day for the boy and his father after the father discovered his 11-year-old son was recorded while using a urinal.

Bodycam video from the Mentor Police Department shows officers walking into the Great Lakes Mall food court to investigate.

Officers confronted the suspect, who was accused of recording the boy, identified by Mentor Police as 33-year-old Joshua Yanowitz.

After talking with the suspect, the police department said Yanowitz was arrested for felonious voyeurism.

“This is a good reminder of the importance of properly supervising young children when they use public restrooms,” the police department said.
