CHINA SPRING, Texas (KWTX) - China Spring head football coach Tyler Beatty will not return in the role in 2026.

A representative from China Spring ISD tells KWTX they will have a new head coach for the 2026 season, but Beatty remains an employee of China Spring ISD.

Beatty was promoted to head coach in 2022, leading the Cougars to a 15-1 season and a 4A Division I state championship title in his first year.

In 2025, China Spring went 4-8 after a second round playoff berth, defeating Belville in the bi-district round. Beatty leaves behind three playoff appearances in four years and an overall record of 29-21.
