Report: Baylor DC Matt Powledge leaving staff

WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Baylor defensive coordinator Matt Powledge is leaving the Baylor coaching staff.
David Smoak of 365 Sports was the first to report on the departure of Powledge via X on Monday night.
Smoak also reporting that Powledge will be joining North Texas as their defensive coordinator under new head coach Neal Brown.
Powledge had two stints with the Bears, the first being from 2020 to 2021 when he was the special teams coordinator and safeties coach.
Powledge spent the 2022 season has the co-defensive coordinator at Oregon before returning to be the DC at Baylor ahead of the 2023 season.
