Classroom Champion: University High School’s Thomas Vidana
WACO, Texas (KWTX) - As much as University senior Thomas Vidana loves playing with his teammates on the gridiron, he equally loves giving back to his community.
Thomas volunteers with the Challenger Little League program and has also volunteered at a local food bank. Two things that have always brought him joy.
“Being able to give them those memories, being able to share those experiences with them its definitely been a fulfilling experience,” said Vidana.
“And I’ve been thankful to be a Buddy for the Challender Little League for three years now.”
Thomas is a powerlifter, and a state medalist in choir but on top of all of his extracurricular activities, Thomas is also a model student. He ranks 22nd in his class of 364 at University.
“I wanted to see myself be successful in the future,” said Vidana. ”So like I just worked my tail off, day in and day out in the classroom and everything I do really.”
Thomas plans to go to the University of Oklahoma with hopes of one day becoming a lawyer.
